Workshop – Handbuilding (08) – Monsterra Wall Plate (August 19, 2026)

Our in-person hand-building pottery classes teach you to create ceramic projects without a pottery wheel. If you can roll out a slab of clay, you can make beautiful, functional pottery projects like vases, mugs, planters, and items for the garden.
This wall plate will include a hole to hang in your favourite spot as well as a shelf to hold a small candle. This is a fun introduction to clay, with lots of creative opportunities. We’ll provide templates, tools, textures, and inspiration.
Participants are responsible for clean-up at the end of class.
Participants must be 10 years of age or older.
Once the project is completed, it will dry for several days. Then the item will be bisque-fired. Next, the item will be glazed and put back into the kiln for a final firing to over 2100° F.
